The National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of Sainik School Society (SSS) invites online application form for All India Sainik School Entrance Examination AISSEE 2026 for admission to Class 6 and Class 9 in Sainik Schools/ New Sainik Schools across the country, for the academic year 2026-27. All eligible Indian citizens can apply online at NTA AISSEE official website https://exams.nta.nic.in/sainik-school-society from 10th October 2025 to till the application last date 09th November 2025 for AISSEE 2026.

The AISSEE is a highly competitive national-level examination; common rejection causes during the application process include uploading blurred images or exceeding the file size limits for the thumb impression. Note that the exam date is fixed for 18 January 2026, and unlike many other entrance tests, the NTA provides a specific correction window (12-14 November 2025) to rectify errors in your submitted form. For admission to Sainik Schools to Class VI :-
A candidate should be between 10 and 12 years as on 31 March 2026 for admission to Class VI, i.e. he/ she should have been born between 01 April 2014 and 31 March 2016 (both days inclusive) for admission to the Academic Year 2026-27.
Admission for Girls is open for Class VI. Age criteria is same as for boys.
For admission to Sainik Schools to Class IX :-
A candidate should be between 13 and 15 years as on 31 March 2026, for admission to Class IX, i.e. he/ she should have been born between 01 April 2011 and 31 March 20123 (both days inclusive) for admission to the Academic Year 2026-27.
Admission for Girls is open for Class IX, subject to availability of vacancies. Age criteria is same as boys.
He/ She should have passed Class VIII exam from a recognised school at the time of admission.
For admission to Approved New Sainik Schools in Class VI & Class IX :-

Scanned images of Candidate's Photograph (file size: 10kb - 200 kb) in JPG format.
Candidate's Signature (file size: 10kb - 50kb) in JPG format
Candidate's left-hand thumb impression. (file size 10 kb - 50 kb) in JPG format. (In case of any eventuality of left thumb being unavailable, right hand thumb impression may be used).
Date of Birth Certificate issued by the Competent Authority.
Domicile Certificate.
Caste/ Community/ Category Certificate (if applicable).
Certificate of service (for Defence category-serving) and PPO for Exservicemen, if applicable.
Certificate from the Principal certifying that the applicant is studying in the approved New Sainik School. (Applicable only for those who are studying currently in approved New Sainik Schools).
